The Battle Concept Arts 2

Concept Art Update!

My plans for The Battle are still rotating between doing it in FULL 3D, which means to model everything from characters to environment into full 3-Dimensional CG elements, or 2D, which means I model them in simple 2D elements in Blender. The latter may be the one I'm going to consider the most, since it's simple and my laptop can handle it without crashing. But the other option may give me more freedom but will surely consume time. I might have a final decision by the end of the day.

This is the Stage Plan for The Battle. I like to put Background Elements and Foreground Elements because it adds Depth especially when the camera is moving around. I actually based the concept out of one of the games I played called, Limbo. The stage may vary depending on what style I'll solidly follow when I've decided today about the two options.

Height Comparison!
This will be the FINAL sizes of the characters that you'll be seeing in the short. Two of the characters will have the majority of appearances.

ANYWAYS!

That's it for updates!

The Battle Concept Arts

Tuesday, February 18, 2014
They're not much. But here are some concept arts for Doodle Note's upcoming 3D/2D Animation Short entitled, The Battle.

I don't have a pen tablet to create this guys so it's a challenge to create them and I have to invent some techniques that other "poor(financially)" artists would've done too. But...

ANYWAYS!

THE BATTLE CONCEPT ARTS

The Protagonist

The Antagonist

more monsters...

You might notice that I based the other monsters on the 7 deadly sins. Although it's not exactly biblical, bits and pieces of it are mentioned in the bible. I didn't have concepts for Pride and Envy, because my plans for Envy as a monster is that it's a shapeshifter, which assumes the appearance of the creature its envied with. Pride, on the other hand, is just the same with the look of the "Monster Concept Art" since its got the most leader-like look among the monsters.

I won't really reveal so much because it might be a big spoiler and could ruin the short for you viewers. Hehe.

Link to 3D/2D Animated short will be posted here (     ) once uploaded. Thanks for reading the Blogs! :D

MAHAL KITA! SOBRA! (I LOVE YOU! SO MUCH!) by MJ Vilches

Saturday, February 15, 2014
A Valentine's Day special from Doodle Notes!

It's a stop-motion animation!

I ended up doing it in stop-motion because I'm pressed for time. And 3D and 2D Animation consumes more time than Stop-motion but all, of course, are not easy. I had to cut, crumple, tear and fold lots of paper for this video! My camera is also acting up. It's broken! So it's kind of a challenge putting this video together. I'm not really a good singer but I think I did good for this video. Still need more practice, though. But yeah, I'm proud to say that everything in the video is made originally by me. Except for the meme face. O.o

ANYWAYS!

The song "Mahal Kita! Sobra!" - in English, I love you! So much! - is one of the songs I wrote during my high school days. (When I'm still that inspired to write these kinds of songs.)

Mort and Chrixa, who are referenced in the song are characters from my book, Don't Wanna Fall Again.
Read it here: http://www.wattpad.com/story/3942377-dont-wanna-fall-again

The story behind the song is a bit painful since, in reality, my love - for the girl whom I'm offering the song to- was not accepted. And since I'm too young back then, I did stupid things that made that girl - who was once one of my best friends - became my enemy. I don't consider her enemy, of course, but her, me. So yeah. I just use Friend Zoned as the Subtitle so everyone can relate to it but, the truth is, I've been Enemy Zoned. haha! But it's fine now. I did realize my mistakes(the mistake of pushing an unwanted love) and apologized to her. It's not really an awesome apology but I did try hard. Hehe. One thing's for sure, though: I lost a best friend. And I have no one else to blame but me...

BUT LET'S CHEER UP, OK!

I told you that because I don't want you to make the same mistake. Sometimes it's better for you to keep your friends than to lose them because of your own selfishness and stupidity.

HAPPY VALENTINES!

Spread Love! And by Love I mean God's kind of love. Unconditional and True. And not just for a special someone but to everyone around you! Love one another!

UPDATES! (Feb-11-2014)

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

So here's the updates! But before that;

My plans for my YouTube channel will be the major content of the BLOGS. So don't be surprised if I keep pointing you to my YouTube channel, which is right here: http://www.youtube.com/doodlenotes1234

I upload all sorts of videos from inspirational ones to the most nonsense ones.

ANYWAYS!

UPDATES! (According to contents, shown in the Doodle Notes Channel Trailer)

VLOG # 8 (Click here to watch it!) might be the last VLOG. BUT! The future is uncertain and who knows! Maybe I'll be a good speaker in the future. :)

    But yeah!

Vlogs will be temporarily paused until:

  1. I get a faster computer.
  2. A better camera.
  3. A better microphone. and...
  4. A WHOLE LOT OF CONFIDENCE!

Music will still be on the channel since I've written a lot of songs that's itching to let itself be heard by people.

    BUT!

It won't be on the schedule that I mentioned in VLOG # 6 (Click here to watch it!).

Lots of lies I said in the VLOGS. I'm more honest and solid in writing.

    Anyways!

I'm currently working on a music video entitled, Mahal Kita! Sobra! (I Love You! So Much!), and I'm still struggling between creating a 3D animation, 2D animation or a stop-motion animation for it.

And also the music for it is not ready since my voice is a bit(always been) rusty. Hehehehehehe.

But just stay tuned for it! It will come eventually. (Since I don't wanna be a "sloth")
    And finally for the Films!

I'm currently working on an animation short entitled, The Battle.

The information about it that I can disclose to you at the moment are:
  1. It's animation style would be based from a game. (Limbo)
  2. It's going to be "spiritually igniting" video.
  3. I'm still on the "Conceptualizing the characters" stage.
  4. And here are some of the concept arts I created:
Concept art for the "YOU" character (View it here!)
Concept art for the "MONSTER" character (View it here!)

So that's it for UPDATES! Over and Out.
